inspiration
Selection of inspirations and design processes from some of the academic and personal projects throughout recent years.
Includes: moodboards, color & material cards (digital and analog), color palettes and collections.
This 3-piece collection was a part of my (successful) application portfolio for admission to The Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, Sweden. Below is my color, pattern and material inspiration for the three final designs.
MOODBOARD
I got inspired by geometric shapes and patterns, bright colors in combination with three textile techniques: ikat weave, shibori resist stitch dyeing, contemporary embroidery and mirror work.
COLOR CARD
I've chosen bold neon colors for my collection: bright orange, fuchsia, indigo, sky blue and white - to create a contrast between traditional textile techniques and contemporary design.

rustic
Rustic was my first collection for AW17 consisting of 12 pieces in 4 materials. I have created two moodboards and a color and material card to visualise my inspiration. The goal was to learn how to work with different fabrics, trimmings and accessories and their combinations when sourcing the materials and creating a coherency within the collection.

COLORS
MATERIALS
Devī is a single item collection of five tops for SS18. Part of the assignment was to create a fictional company with a conceptual collection and visualise it with four specific moodboards. My company Devī ('goddess', from sanskrit), designs for pregnant women in all stages of pregnancy and after it. It's designed to fit the ever changing woman's body during pregnancy and can be worn even after it, as the garments are made to be versatile, adjustable and comfortable. I believe every woman is beautiful just the way she is in every shape, color and age, and this collection celebrates this unity and diversity. I drew my inspiration from Indian hand block prints, feminine silhouettes of regency era, comfortable materials and timeless colors of the natural world.

FINAL PRINT
Animaná
Animaná is an Argentinian sustainable fashion and lifestyle brand. By collaborating with local artisans from Andes and Patagonia they support and preserve their traditional skills of knitting, weaving and plant dyeing. KEA collaborated with Animaná on a sustainable case and our team made a small collection for them inspired by beautiful nature and cultural heritage of South America. Our new sustainable proposal includes multifunctionality of the garments, geometric pattern shapes and zerowaste.

light/white
Personal experiment on how to create 'colorless' design. The only color for intented use was white and its natural shades: nude, beige, grey, light pink. The theme is visualised as a moodboard, color story watercolor study and material swatches.
